Sladovich Wins Second R19 Title

SYC's Peter Sladovich with crew, Rocky Sanchez and Tirza Dabdoub, have won the 2011 Rhodes 19 National Championship, hosted by the Chicago Corinthian Yacht Club. The win, Sladovich's second national title, came in dramatic fashion with a narrow tie breaker being secured in the eighth and final race over past champions Charlie Pendelton and Jim Raisades of Marblehead, MA.  SYC member Benz Faget, a four-time National Champion himself, placed third in the 25-boat event.
