 2013 Lake Pontchartrain Racing Circuit - October 24-26, 2013
SLIDELL, LA - Seventeen Southern yachts joined the 41-boat fleet for the 2013 Lake Ponchartrain Racing Circuit sailed at West End and off Bayou Liberty. The three-day, five-race Fall classic was reduced to three-races due to light winds on the final day at Tammany Yacht Club. Rear-Commodore Scott Sonnier's REVOLUTION won class B (1-1-3) and Al Gooch's aptly-named, WIND SHIFT, won class C (4-2-1). Stephen Murray's DECISION and Tim Molony's JOUST also won races, taking second in classes A & C, respectively. Chris Wientjes' STORMVOGEL, of New Orleans Yacht Club, (class A, 1-1-2) was awarded the Red Jacket award as boat-of-the-regatta.
