Allstate Sugar Bowl Great Oaks Invitational Regatta, November 22-24, 2013
Congratulations to Riverview High School of Sarasota, Florida for winning the 2013 Great Oaks Regatta. The Riverview team of Sam Armington and Aaron Burnett also won the Larry and Babs White Trophy as the top first-time team.

Great Oaks 2013 boasts forty high school teams from as far away as the Virgin Islands and the State of Maine.
Reports:
(Sunday, November 23, 2013, 1800) 8 Gold Fleet races and 7 Silver Fleet races were completed under sunny skies and dying breeze.
(Sunday, November 24, 2013, 1200) The first start of the Gold and Silver Fleets are scheduled to begin shortly. At 0800, the wind was 28 knots sustained with gusts up to 35 knots. By 1100 the sustained wind was down to 18 knots with gusts of 22 knots.
(Saturday, November 23, 2013) The results are final for day one after Jury hearings. The top ten in each fleet will sail in the Gold Fleet tomorrow, while the remainder will meet in the Silver Fleet.
(Saturday, November 23, 2013, 1600) The wind is up to 22 Knots gusting to 25 knots. All further sailing for day has been abandoned after 8 races were completed in both fleets.
(Saturday, November 23, 2013, 1400) The breeze has shifted to due north at 18 knots, gusting to 25 knots. Some of the lighter teams are struggling to keep their 420’s right side up. The breeze is forecast to continue to build slightly.
(Saturday, November 23, 2013, 1100) Today's conditions are overcast, breeze is 15 knots from the NNE and expected to build all day. The temperature is 65 degrees and falling.
