Clerc Cooper and crew Jon Nunn received 1st Plave trophy

16 teams representing 7 GYA clubs participated in the 2008 GYA 420 Championship Regatta. It is very encouraging to see this level of interest in our junior sailing programs. Many thanks to the Southern Sailing Foundation of New Orleans for sponsoring the event which allowed the competitors to enter without entry fee.

Darien, CT (June 13, 2008) - After 10 races over three days at the US 2.4 Meter Championship, American Marc LeBlanc edged out John Ruf (the US Paralympic representative) to win the 2008 event hosted by Noroton Yacht Club.
